NAMI Southeast Indiana is a nonprofit organization that provides support, education and advocacy for persons with mental illness and their families and friends in Southeast Indiana.
According to NAMI, more than one half of all people who abuse drugs (prescription and other substances) and one third of people who abuse alcohol are also battling a mental illness.

CIT
--Crisis Intervention Team
CIT strives to improve the way law enforcement and thecommunity respond to people experiencing mental health crises.
CIT programs typically provide 40 hours of free training for first responders on how to better respond to people experiencing a mental health crisis. CIT first responder training classes will be offered in January and February 2018. |
